Sword of midday radiance, towards the equator of this rolling earth drawn straight,
Your flaming advance maintains its aim,
Shedding your simultaneous beauty abroad,
In unceasing displays of splendour.

Sword of midday radiance,
Your solar symmetry crowns the haloed heavens,
Appointing east and west an equal daily course,
Of lumenal delight,
With strands of golden inspiration bathing south and north.

Sword of midday radiance,
Turned away from at sunset by this planet, at sunrise turned towards,
In ecstatic victory your awesome emanations from afar,
Splatter blood-red battle-stains,
